And, in 2012, a swimming pool

Having swum all winter at the Cape (South Africa) along with aqua aerobics most days, I came home very interested in adding a pool to our property.  Asked for an online estimate from a company recommended by friends, and next thing poor Harry found himself talking to someone prepared to come and check out the property.   Lots of construction, but here it is:

 Digging

 The walls go in - two days into construction

 Looks like it's ready, but still a way to go.

 Cement around the outside to steady the pool, and avoid mud ditches when it rains

 The felt protection/liner

 and the heavy vinyl liner, with bags of salt waiting to go in

 Adding water, while a 'vacuum cleaner' withdraws air from behind the liner

 And now, ready for swimming

Lots more landscaping to do, but already I love this pool.
